The Assisted Care Home Ministry of
Community Alliance Church
is dedicated to bring encouragement and hope to the residents in
Assisted Care
Homes. We want to build up those who do believe in Jesus, and we want
God to
save those who haven’t yet trusted in Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 it says:
"Therefore encourage one
another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
On the first and third Sunday of each month a team goes to two local Assisted Care Homes. We sing some hymns (using large print song books) and then someone gives a short Bible lesson or a personal testimony or a word of encouragement. We take prayer requests and then have a time of prayer. We try to be an encouragement to the staff, who work so hard, and we pray for them too.
The team currently is Peggy Polonus and Mike Yoder. We enjoy having others come and help us. They can hand out song books and help the residents get seated. The residents are always so grateful for our visits. Those who are currently attending Community Alliance are welcome to participate. Talk to Peggy or Mike if you are interested in helping out and sharing Christ's love to those who can't get out to church.
